Raphis Palm |

Did you know?Plants that need to attract moths for pollination are generally white or pale yellow, to be better seen when the light is dim. Plants that depend on butterflies, such as the poppy or the hibiscus, have more colorful flowers. |
The Raphis Palm is a tropical plant that takes many years to reach a 6-foot height, but the wait is well worth it. The elegant, dark green fronds with the serrated tips are born on wirey stems that emerge from a scruffy trunk that looks like it is partially wrapped in loose burlap. Raphis is a genus of about 10 species of small palms native to southeastern Asia, from southern Japan and southern China south to Thailand. The species are commonly known as Lady Palms. The Raphis Palm is one of the easiest plants to care for, which does well in low light situations. Any location indoors with light bright enough to read in will be suitable.
